Admission to Certificate in Architectural Technology at Central Piedmont Community College

Admissions • A high school diploma or equivalent is required. • CPCC Placement tests are required in English and mathematics. Additional Information The curriculum at Central Piedmont Community College includes emphasis on computer-aided drafting (CAD) and related computer courses to prepare graduates for employment in the expanding CAD area within the field of Architectural Technology.

Major in Architectural Studies at Mount Holyoke College

The major in Architectural Studies is administered by the Department of Art and Art History. Students who elect to major in Architectural Studies should select an adviser who will assist them in mapping a program of study. The major will consist of 44 credits in art history, studio art, and design studio.

The minor in Architectural Studies may be created in consultation with a faculty advisor in the program. The minor should include Art History 100 (Image and Environment), Art Studio 120 (Drawing I), and 16 credits at the 200 and 300-levels that include at least one architectural design studio.
