The Specialization in Construction Management becomes an answer to the needs of the local environment, through the training of specialists with the necessary qualifications in order to face the great challenge that the current changes to the present sector enterprises, narrow establishing links with the community, the enterprise, the industry, public institutions, associations, trading groups and scientific organizations in order to, on one side, by means academy enrich the knowledge of problems and development needs and, on the other side, getting well known by offering services regarding training, research, advising and technical assistance.

The Construction and Energy Management program provides students with a basic background in the management of construction projects. Students will find employment in the broad spectrum of opportunities available in the construction industry. The program also provides continuing education for those already employed as contractors, site superintendents, project managers, estimators, and other areas related to construction.

The program offers a variety of classes for both entry-level and career advancement positions. Classes taken individually or in series will prepare the student for:

• employment in entry-level, mid-management positions such as Project Manager, Site Supervisor, Estimator, Owners Site Representative
• employment as a Building Inspector for both government agencies and private companies
• self-employment by helping in preparation for the contractor licensing examination

The establishment of the Bachelor of Science in Architecture is oriented to the formation of a professional can design, thanks to the tools of architecture and its mastery of the instruments for the construction of the planned, the operations of production, processing and anthropogenic modification of the environment with full knowledge of the aesthetic, distribution, functional, technical design, management, economic and environmental.
The expertise of the graduate specialist will be to prepare for construction projects and manage the implementation by, for such purposes, other specialists and professionals in the fields of architecture, engineering construction, urban planning and architectural restoration.

Profile of the graduate
Graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Architecture will:
know well the history of architecture, the instruments and forms of representation, the scientific aspects and operational methodology of mathematics and geometry and be able to use this knowledge to interpret and describe complex issues in depth architecture and construction;
know the theoretical and scientific, and methodological-operational, for the characteristic fields (Technology, architectural and urban composition, Landscape Architecture, Restoration, Urban Planning, construction technology, technical architecture and technical physics) and be able to use this knowledge to identify, formulate and solve, in an innovative way, complex problems of architecture and construction;
have a good command of English, in addition to Italian.

Job opportunities
Graduates of the course of Science in Architecture will be able to perform diversified including: professional activities involving the design and direction of work in institutions and public and private, in particular relating to town planning offices and public works administration local, and in entities operating in the fields of construction and transformation of the city and the territory.
Additional activities may be conducted at institutions responsible for land conservation and historic buildings and the land management and environment.

In the course of Architecture and Urbanism, the student conducts research in laboratories in different segments of activity, especially in the urban area. Developed in the night shift, allows academic work during the day. The activities are carried out through integrated workshops, in which the student has different practices with multiple disciplines in a single classroom teacher.

The teaching is done by the practice, with performance on the field. The academic research and perform research and improvement in specialist areas, construction projects, administration and execution of buildings, restoration, enhancement and preservation of historic architectural and landscaping works, with projects for internal and external environment, including vegetation.
