The degree will teach students about correlations in the subject of architecture, required specialist knowledge and its independent application, as well as give them practical experience in the profession of architecture. It will enable students to apply academic insights and methods, and also develop these independently. Theoretical and analytical skills, creativity and independent thinking apply here as much as awareness of problems, a critical faculty and decision-making skills.

The Master Degree is geared towards the extensive activities of the architect as an allrounder both here and abroad. It enables graduates to gain professional membership of the ‘Chamber of Architects’ (UIA guidelines) and to manage their own office as well as work at a senior civil servant level in public authorities.

The course will offer an applied qualification with an academic/technical and design/artistic basis.
On the one hand, the aim of the Bachelor degree is to teach students the abilities and skills required for carrying out planning tasks and, on the other hand, to give them a comprehensive insight into the area of construction and planning. Furthermore, methodological and analytical knowledge and basic structural knowledge will be taught as a basis for acquiring further qualifications acquiring methods, expertise and skills in the field of structural architecture students will be qualified for activities at all performance levels of the HOAI (official scale of fees for services by architects and engineers) under the direction of an architect. Moreover, further professional fields of activity will arise in the areas of urban regeneration, construction
management, rented property management, property management and in public planning and construction authorities.

Architecture und Project Management
Innovative and holistic designs of building objects form the main part of the architects’ education. Here, aesthetic and technical have to be taken into account during the creative, the technical and the economic realization. The main focus of interest lies in the fields of façade technology, revitalisation, project management and interior design.

Furthermore, the social responsibility is exceedingly important for architectural issues. Solutions have to fulfil aesthetic, sociological, social, ecological and above all economic demands of the environment. With the help of practically related problems students learn to work on complex drafts, to realise management tasks, and to deal with planning and implementation procedures in the field of cost and time management.

The Sacramento State University Construction Management degree prepares students for managerial positions with contractors and other organizations involved in the construction process. For a graduate, this preparation can combine with experience and lead to recognition as a construction professional, a Constructor. The construction professional is responsible for the execution of construction work, for the creation of completed projects from plans prepared by design professionals such as architects and engineers. What is to be built is defined by design professionals; how the work is to be accomplished is the concern of the Constructor. A Constructor determines the methods to be used and directs the economical application of resources in the construction of timely and safe projects at satisfactory prices, and to the required standards of quality.

The immediate objective of the program is to provide university-level preparation for managerial positions in construction and a foundation for continued learning. The curriculum emphasizes subject areas that are significant to the Constructor: engineering fundamentals, construction management, business administration, humanities and social sciences, and the development of analytical and communication skills.

Architect and urban planning projects and public and private spaces, using criteria of aesthetics, comfort and functionality. The market requires professionals capable of combining creativity with the ability to optimize space and costs, given the needs of urban and rural environment.
Its sphere of activities covers, among other activities, the Project for the Housing of Social Interest Urban and Regional Planning, Preservation and Restoration of historical and environmental heritage for the development of Alternative Construction Technologies.

The proposed course aims to train professionals able to understand and respond to the needs of individuals, social groups and communities with the planning of cities and the construction of buildings and the enhancement of built heritage and the environment.
The architects and planners trained in UNIMEP are therefore able to reflect on professional issues at local, regional and global, facing the challenge of finding answers to the various problems that constitute the field of professional practice.
Thus, the course offers excellent infrastructure for specific laboratories, and is indicated by the experts as a model example in the conduct of the teaching of architecture and urbanism.

The architects trained by the University of Minho are entitled to pursue the work in Architecture, Urban, Urban Design, Rehabilitation and Maintenance of Buildings, Architecture and Interior Design Equipment. Can exercise it as technical staff in institutions and companies or as professionals and are able to develop activities related to design, urban management, higher education and research. They are also able to teach at various levels of education.

The training is based on practice and theory, exploring the methods of teaching / learning designated by the Bologna Declaration. The development of this set of skills involves learning to deepen a growing over curriculum, based on the work of the project, with support of the design as a tool for design and representation and the theory and history that stimulate reflection on architectural practice. It is intended that the training instilling in students the depth and creativity to generate innovative solutions to technical and functional level, acquiring sensitivity to the aspects of communication and to the specific socio-cultural.

It encouraged a proactive approach towards change, as part in the economic and environmental contexts. It stimulated the student the ability to communicate, so succinct and rational, the results of their work, demonstrating entrepreneurship, capacity for teamwork, citizenship and values of sustainable eco-action.

The Integrated Master in Architecture is designed to give students a complete training to make them suitable for “acts of the occupation itself” established in the Statute of the Order of Architects.

The course has received some changes with a view to its recognition by the Order. This is a course in Architecture which values the theoretical preparation (technical and cultural) and the practical ability (artistic and projectual) through lectures, visits, courses and lectures in its connection to reality through protocols with entities. The curriculum for the preparation of future favors Architects, in addition to the buildings, the preparation in subjects with the future as and Urban Conservation.

The course has a quality policy that advocates the careful selection of teachers and their interaction with students, and a growing international relationship.

Architects set the stage for the drama of human and civic life. In order to create buildings, architects must consider how public and private life interact, how cities should reflect the culture for which they are built, and how technology affects the way we life and work.

Buildings meet both our individual need for shelter and our shared need for cultural meaning. True to its home in an urban university, Northeastern’s curriculum places architectural problem solving in the context of contemporary cities. Students learn the fundamentals of building construction and technology and how the choice of material, structure, and form reflect the surrounding culture and give it a voice.

The dynamic city of Boston is your laboratory where you will learn to identify opportunities for civic representation, urban development, and neighborhood design. And, because our program is offered in the context of a university, there are great opportunities in urban-oriented research and creative work in areas such as mapping, urban economics and development, race and social division, spatial and visual communication, and public policy.

The School of Architecture and Design also enjoys an international reputation for its summer abroad programs. Under the direction of one or more full-time faculty members, as many as three diverse programs are offered during the summer, depending upon interested students, and faculty availability. NYIT has offered programs in China, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Greece, and Turkey, where students and faculty come in contact with foreign students and architects while living in another culture, enabling them to understand first-hand the range, diversity, and power of living architecture as individual buildings or as entire cities and spaces. Summer study abroad course credit can be applied to a student’s specific curriculum and field of study. The summer programs are open to students enrolled in any degree program offered by the School of Architecture and Design.
