Architecture Degrees Online

The degree will teach students about correlations in the subject of architecture, required specialist knowledge and its independent application, as well as give them practical experience in the profession of architecture. It will enable students to apply academic insights and methods, and also develop these independently. Theoretical and analytical skills, creativity and independent thinking apply here as much as awareness of problems, a critical faculty and decision-making skills.

The Master Degree is geared towards the extensive activities of the architect as an allrounder both here and abroad. It enables graduates to gain professional membership of the ‘Chamber of Architects’ (UIA guidelines) and to manage their own office as well as work at a senior civil servant level in public authorities.

The course will offer an applied qualification with an academic/technical and design/artistic basis.
On the one hand, the aim of the Bachelor degree is to teach students the abilities and skills required for carrying out planning tasks and, on the other hand, to give them a comprehensive insight into the area of construction and planning. Furthermore, methodological and analytical knowledge and basic structural knowledge will be taught as a basis for acquiring further qualifications acquiring methods, expertise and skills in the field of structural architecture students will be qualified for activities at all performance levels of the HOAI (official scale of fees for services by architects and engineers) under the direction of an architect. Moreover, further professional fields of activity will arise in the areas of urban regeneration, construction
management, rented property management, property management and in public planning and construction authorities.

This course is offered full time over one year or part-time over two or three years. Students interested in working as a drafter, CAD operator or building designer should consider undertaking this course.

It is offered internally at the Casuarina Campus of CDU. There are no external units, full time students would be expected to attend classes four days per week. This allows for part time employment in the industry, which is highly recommended. Suitable part time options are also available. Part time students would be expected to complete the course within four years.

Career Opportunities
There is currently a nation-wide shortage of suitably qualified drafters, CAD operators and building designers. Graduates can expect to readily gain employment, either full time, part time, casual, sub-contract or self employed. It is possible to work from home or a remote office. Graduates may find employment with a drafting office, an architect, a builder or manufacturer, and their position and remuneration will depend on their interset, expertise and experience. Students who continue their studies and complete the Diploma of Building Design and Technology will work on larger projects, have more responsibility, less supervision, and will receive greater remuneration.

This course is the first stage of education in the training of an architect. It aims to establish an informed understanding of architecture, its role in society, its cultural, artistic, technical and practical aspects, and their relationship to design and creativity.

Professional recognition : the course gives exemption from Part 1 of the Royal Institute of British Architects’ (RIBA) examinations.

This course has a natural progression on to the Postgraduate Diploma in Architecture and students are encouraged to apply to continue their studies. Graduates will gain the traditional skills in design creativity coupled with professional responsibility and have the knowledge and judgement to resolve complex problems. The course promotes architectural design through a continuous series of projects and contextual studies. Student choice and variety is offered through exploratory projects and studio teaching methods.

Design studies are a central feature of the course and act as the very hub of student development throughout the programme through set design projects and studio-based tutoring and seminars.

The course of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of Paraná Tuiuti as a professional capable of thinking, questioning, designing and developing the built environment in the context of cities and buildings. Technology – Structural Engineering and Architecture – master

The programme of study offers the combined scientific and technological qualifications that society needs in connection with operations and innovations in business activities, management and research. The programme represents a continuance of the former study programme Civil Engineering, and at UMB it is connected to subject areas that are central to the maintenance and development of a sustainable society.Graduates are qualified to work as property managers in larger businesses, as construction manager/project manager in construction companies or as a planner in an engineering or architect\’s office. They can also work as planners, consultants and chief building inspectors in municipalities and counties.

The total time needed to earn a Bachelor of Architecture degree (the first professional degree) at NJIT is five years. This degree is accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB).

The curriculum fulfills the educational requirements of the Architectural Registration Examination (ARE), which professionals must successfully pass in order to employ the title “architect”. The ARE is a fully computerized examination which is administered on an annual basis by the Architectural Registration Boards in each state. Students who receive their B. Arch. degree are eligible to take the ARE once they have completed an Internship Development Program (IDP).
