Specific educational objectives
The course of Archeology and Ancient Civilizations “is to provide:
- A thorough knowledge of culture, civilization and history of the ancient world;
- A thorough preparation in the fields of philology, languages and literatures of antiquity and their fortune in the modern age;
- The ability to investigate, interpret and use the sources and means of transmission of culture and civilization of the ancient world, particularly developing the framework archaeological, both classical and medieval, which is also acquiring a sound theoretical, methodological and operational;
- The ability to make full use of the main tools and communications in specific fields of competence;
- The ability to use written and oral form at least one European Union language besides Italian, with reference to disciplinary vocabularies.
