Faculty of Agriculure Natural Resources & Environment at Naresuan University
The Faculty of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment is located on the university main campus at Nong Or, with an area of 19,525 square meters. The Faculty is formed on 1st October 1993, following the 7th National Socio-Economic Development Plan, to serve the lower northern region of Thailand in which the majority of population was engaged in agriculture or involved with agricultural industries.
The Faculty was originally named the “Faculty of Agriculture” consisting of only two Departments, Plant Science and Agro-Industry. With increasing awareness of the decline of natural resources and environment, the Faculty was restructured and became the “Faculty of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment” consisting of Department of Agricultural Science, Department of Agro-Industry and Department of Natural Resources and Environment.
To provide education, researches and extension services aiming for development and transfer of knowledge in agricultural science, agro-industries, environmental science and natural resources and environmental management with emphases on increases on increasing knowledge in agricultural production, increasing value added of agricultural produces and sustainable management of natural resources and environment.
