BA in Hons Architecture at University College For The Creative Arts

This three year ARB and RIBA validated course is taught through the School of Architecture at UCA Canterbury; a modern, progressive design environment established more than fifty years ago.

You explore the design of space though experimentation with wide ranging conceptual and media based approaches through design, essay writing and workshops that include:
Critical cultural, social and political studies
Digital media
Structural, environmental and constructional technologies
Laser and 3D printing processes
Full size prototype making and testing
Drawing
Painting
Film
Photography

As creative spatial designers you will produce designs using ‘non-conventional’ methods of making and representation, working on challenging projects which address both contemporary cultural and social issues.

You are taught by a group of committed, experienced and energetic professional staff made up of practising architects, interior designers and interior architects. Our lecturers have previously taught at Cambridge University, the Architectural Association, the Bartlett and Strathclyde, as well as Berlin’s Technical University and London’s Westminster University.
