AS in Architectural Engineering Technology at Capital Community College
The program is designed for those who wish to pursue careers in the architectural or construction fields. Graduates of the program have basic skills for employment in architectural or engineering offices as well as in construction. They are also prepared to enter at advanced levels into professional degree programs elsewhere, in pursuit of becoming registered architects.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of all program requirements, graduates will be able to:
Determine information needs by framing appropriate questions
Use a variety of search methods such as library databases and internet and professional sources to locate information
Assess information and apply pertinent elements
Critically analyze and evaluate information
Apply knowledge to assigned construction communication requirements through CAD, drafting, oral, and written techniques
Satisfy employer with student’s knowledge base and ability to complete tasks in the appropriate amount of time
