Dept. of Archaeology and art History at Chungbuk National University

The purpose of this department is to study the nature of ancient cultures by examining historic relics and cultural assets ranging from prehistoric to recent times.

The curriculum is designed to help students improve their research ability and have a correct understanding and judgement of cultural inheritances. Students are taught how to analyze cultural characteristics of Chungbuk Province as well as historical features and changing cultures of Korea and other parts of the world. They also learn how to analyze historic relics and remains, human bones and fossiled animals, and works of art.

After graduation, there will be opportunities for working in museums, art galleries,

research institutions, and organizations related to cultural activities.

Department of Architecture at Chubu University

The study of architecture, fusing the interdisciplinary subjects of engineering and technology, is a highly comprehensive academic field covering a wide range of domains. Consequently, the ability to adapt to a number of different industries and acquire a variety of work-related knowledge is required of those in the field. Accordingly, this department puts great efforts into training which cultivates both extensive learning and abundant sensibility in our students.

To this end, the core curriculum employs a unit course system covering three fields, Architectural Planning, Architectural Engineering and Architectural Production, allowing students to master the fundamentals of architectural design. The course is based on teaching in small groups, as well as various seminars that allow students to become further engaged with an academic subject. Original seminars ranging from research on traditional wooden houses to the latest CAD methods teach planning and trouble-shooting techniques, while reinforcing the acquisition of practical skills and experience.

Ph.D. in Architecture at Chulalongkorn University

Doctoral Program : As the first Ph.D. in architecture program in Thailand, the program focuses on developing a comprehensive knowledge base of architecture and environmental design at both national and international levels. Three major fields of study are offered: environmental design, history and theory, and building technology. The 48-credit program usually takes three years of full-time study, and a Ph.D. thesis must be completed within five years.
Master :The department of Architecture offers a 2-year curriculum for 6 fields of graduate study in architecture: architecture history and theory, Thai architecture, architectural and environmental technology, computer-aided architectural design, architecture, and architectural management. The program requirements consists of 12 credits of required courses, 12 credits of electives, and 12 credits for the thesis to be submitted in the final year.
